3D Print Your Next Apple II

Presented by Charles Mangin. 3D printing has often been compared to the first wave of personal computers – at first, only those willing to tinker and hack them to work paid much attention. Then they got easier to use, and the tools more accessible. Pretty soon you may not have one on your desk, but you’ll know someone who does.

I will demonstrate some basic techniques and free software anyone can use to create a simple replacement part or custom design in 3D. This can then be sent to a service like Shapeways.com or to a desktop 3D printer for (near) instant prototyping.
